Breakfast Spots Panama City Beach FL

Let’s talk breakfast.

Some say it’s the most important meal of the day, and we tend to agree.

So whether you’re looking for a quick pick-up or a dine-in experience, we’ve scoped out the best breakfast spots Panama City Beach FL has to offer.

The Donut Hole
12983 US Highway 98 E
(850) 213-3127

Locals say it’s not uncommon to wait for an hour to grab a seat at The Donut Hole. A long wait usually means great food, and The Donut Hole is no exception.

Are you and your crew in a hurry to get out and enjoy the beach? Just as you walk in, The Donut Hole has a grab-and-go full bakery. Choose from a wide range of gourmet donuts, pastries and muffins to charge your batteries in the morning. You might even want to try a slice of the fresh key lime pie, a Florida delicacy that is made daily.

If you have enough time to sit down, we certainly recommend it. The Donut Hole breakfast menu is served all day long, so no need to rush if you’re late riser. The locals can’t stop raving about the restaurant’s waffles, pancakes and french toast. To truly immerse yourself in the Southern experience, the Texas Sweet Potato Pancakes are a hot menu item served with praline sauce.

Don’t have much of a sweet tooth? While The Donut Hole is famous for its donuts and pancakes, the classic bacon-and-eggs dishes are flying out to the dining area all day long. Choose from a variety of combinations or wrap it all up in a signature omelet.

No matter what your breakfast craving, The Donut Hole is a must try during your PCB stay.

Sunnyside Grill
21828 Front Beach Road
(850) 233-0729

The sign outside says “breakfast” first, so the locals took notice. Sunnyside has been a favorite morning-time grub stop ever since. Family owned and operated, the restaurant serves up classic breakfast favorites.

First thing you’ll notice at Sunnyside Grill is the bright pink exterior, making it a can’t-miss landmark. As you walk in, the atmosphere is no fuss and the walls are lined with dollar bills and sports memorabilia. Prepare to cozy up with a stranger. Since Sunnyside Grill is so small and popular, it’s not uncommon to share a table with future friends. (We promise the locals don’t bite.)

Sunnyside Grill fires up the griddle early in the morning and starts slinging out the American breakfast classics. Bacon and eggs are a local favorite. Try yours with a side of delicious homemade cheese grits! For those with a bigger appetite, the Country Fried Steak and Eggs smothered in pepper gravy will leave you glued to your chair in the best way possible.

Heads up because Sunnyside Grill has some unique hours of operation. 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday through Monday. Closed all day Tuesday!

Start your morning off like a local and eat at Sunnyside Grill.

Mike’s Cafe & Oyster Bar
17554 Front Beach Road
(850) 234-1942

Since 1971, Mike’s family has been serving the Panama City Beach area. In 2011, Mike’s Diner grew into Mike’s Cafe & Oyster Bar.

Mike’s is committed to offering big flavor and a not-so-big price tag to locals and tourists alike.

On the breakfast menu, you’ll find the usual suspects: bacon & eggs, hotcakes, sausage and omelets. There are also plenty of locally inspired favorites, such as the Shrimp & Grits, featuring fresh Gulf shrimp served on a warm bed of cheesy grits.

If you’re gearing up for a day at the beach, it’s only fitting that you fill your stomach with Mike’s signature Beach Hash: hash browns, jalapeños, onions, ham, tomatoes and peppers grilled to perfection and topped with Swiss and American Cheese. This beautifully crafted mountain of cheesy goodness might not cure that sunburn, but it’ll make you forget all about it.

Look no further than Mike’s Cafe & Oyster Bar for your morning-time cravings.
