New Years Eve Panama City Beach FL

The New Year’s Eve ball drop in New York City’s historic Times Square inspired Panama City Beach to do a ball drop of their own, except with a giant beach ball.

Panama City’s Pier Park shuts down its roads while locals and tourists flood the streets for a New Year’s celebration unlike any other.

The event kicks off just before sundown, with live music performances and entertainment that are sure to get your feet moving.

For the younger crowd and those simply young at heart, thousands of beach balls are suspended in nets above Pier Park and dropped on an anxiously awaiting crowd. Grab a beach ball as a souvenir to remember your Panama City Beach celebration.

This first ball drop is followed by a fireworks display that will surely dazzle the eye and light up the sky.

After it’s done raining beach balls, there will be hours of musical performances and celebrations leading up to the much anticipated moment.

If your bedtime is a little later, you’ll definitely want to stick around for the main event. A giant beach ball is illuminated and slowly dropped from the Pier Park Celebration Tower. Help countdown to the to the New Year along with friends and family during this Emerald Coast celebration.

(And if the first fireworks show wasn’t enough, there will be a second dazzling display at midnight to top off the evening.)

As an all-ages event, the Pier Park New Year’s Beach Ball Drop is the perfect spot for you and your family to celebrate an unforgettable new year.

Pier Park is located at 600 Pier Park Dr, Panama City Beach, FL. For more information or to look at a list of events, visit the Pier Park website or call (850) 236-9974.
