If delicious Asian cuisine isn’t on your mind when you come to Panama City Beach, it should be. Oishi is a restaurant right off Front Beach that specializes in both Thai and Japanese cuisine.
The inside of Oishi is wide open with plenty of seating and a sushi bar. But if you’re like us, all of your focus is going to be on the food and drinks.
Speaking of drinks, you have to try the Thai iced tea. Thai iced tea is a tea that has been sweetened with sugar and milk— a delicious way to start off your meal. If you’re looking for something with a bit more kick, try one of the unique Sake Mojitos — yes, it’s exactly what you think it is.
Now, you have a big decision to make … Thai or Japanese? If you’re leaning toward the Southeast, the Tom Yum comes highly recommended. Tom Yum is a hot soup with fresh mushrooms in lemongrass, galangal, basil leaves and Thai spices soup with your choice of chicken or shrimp.
On the Japanese side of the menu, you have to try the sushi! And if you’re going to have sushi at Oishi, why not try an Oishi Signature Roll? The Oishi Roll comes with soft shell crab, krab salad, avocado, asparagus and topped with spicy tuna and mango. The presentation alone on the Oishi Roll is worth it!
For dessert, the fresh mango with sweet sticky rice is a Thai favorite. The mango arrives ripe and beautifully sliced with a side of sweet sticky rice. Rice for dessert might not catch your attention, but one bite is all it takes to make you a believer.
Make the whole group happy at Oishi.
