Panama City Beach is well-known for … well, the beach!
But the beach isn’t the only thing that you can enjoy while visiting. Pier Park plays host to some of the best shopping and dining in Panama City Beach.
Since opening in 2008, Pier Park has been a favorite for both tourists and locals in Panama City Beach. The 900,000 square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment boasts an impressive 124 unique and exciting stores.
Among the stores at Pier Park is the iconic and world famous Ron Jon Surf Shop. Ron Jon’s was established in 1959 as a mecca for surfers on the East Coast. Today, with locations as far away as Nevada and Mexico, Ron Jon Surf Shop is a great place to visit for all of your beach needs.
Looking to catch a movie? The Grand IMAX has a whopping 16 screens with stadium seating, wall-to-wall screens, 3D capabilities and more. See the movies on the big screen come to life!
If a day full of walking and shopping outdoors has left you thirsty and hungry, Pier Park is still the place to be. With places like Hofbräu Beer Garden, a Bavarian-style beer hall with Bavarian sized brews and pretzels, leaving hungry simply isn’t an option.
And Pier Park certainly didn’t forget about dessert. Head over to Kilwin’s Fudge, where the skilled fudge masters are still making fudge in the old style in giant copper kettles. This is a great place to take the kids and let them watch the fudge being cut by hand.
Celebrating the new year in Panama City Beach? Pier Park holds the annual New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop in Panama City Beach. Thousands of inflatable beach balls are suspended and dropped on the Pier Park revelers and a giant beach ball is dropped for the final countdown. Take that, Times Square!
All of this and much more is waiting at Pier Park.
