Restaurants Panama City Beach FL

There are tons of chain restaurants in Panama City Beach. But it can be harder to find the local spots.

Lucky for you, we’re here to help.

Here’s our list of the best, categorized just for you:

INTERNATIONAL FLAIR

Eat My Pasty
280 S Arnold Road
(850) 235-7981

Located near Pier Park, this traditional British pub is the No. 1 restaurant on TripAdvisor. You’ll think you hopped across the pond. (Note that “chips” are “fries” in Britain, and at this restaurant.) Enjoy a duck, lamb or brisket burger, authentic fish and chips or one of the delicious pasties a.k.a. meat pies, for which they are known. Desserts are also fantastic.

FAMILY FUN

Shades Bar and Grill
10952 E County Hwy 30-A
(850) 231-9410

Open for lunch and dinner, Shades is a short drive west, at the corner of Highway 98 and Scenic Highway 30A. With cornhole set up outside and a game room inside, the kids have plenty to keep themselves busy. Looking to catch the game? No problem! You won’t miss a minute with 15 HD Big Screen TV’s and 2 projectors. The full bar has a great local beer selection, plus 46 draft beers from around the world. The menu offers a large selection including salads, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, wings, daily chef features and Happy Hour specials.

DINERS + DIVES

The Donut Hole Bakery and Cafe
6745 US Highway 98 W
(850) 267-3239

Across the street from Shades, the Donut Hole Bakery and Cafe serves breakfast all day, along with sandwiches and southern comfort favorites. This family-friendly spot can accommodate parties large and small. You can expect a wait, but it’s well worth it. Leave your calorie counter at home.

SANDWICH SHOP

Liza’s Kitchen
7328 Thomas Drive
(850) 233-9000

Head east on the beach road. It’s a bit of a drive, but you’re on beach time. Roll down the window and enjoy the view as you cruise. Everything at Liza’s is made from scratch, including the focaccia bread, soups, salads and a wide variety of hot and cold speciality sandwiches. You can call in your order to go, pick it up and be back in time to have a great picnic dinner on the beach or your balcony as you salute the sunset.

BEST BURGER

The Craft Bar
15600 Panama City Beach Parkway #180
(850) 588-7309

Located in Pier Park North, enjoy $5 Happy Hour Monday through Friday, with a great selection of small bites, delicious cocktails, rotating draft beer features and wine by the glass. Try the Nashville style hot chicken app and refreshing Pepino de Benicio to drink. The burgers here are some of the best we’ve ever had. But if you don’t like beef on a bun, they also serve a Southern fried chicken plate, steak frites, pork chops, fish and more. Don’t leave without trying the mac and cheese.

Also located in Pier Park are popular chain restaurants including Olive Garden, Longhorn, Chilis, Chipotle, The Back Porch, Zoe’s Kitchen, Ihop, 5 Guys, Margaritaville, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dick’s Last Resort, Shoneys, Red Robin and many more.

But we figured while you’re here, you might want to try something a bit more, well … local.

Bon appétit!
